Last week’s 2-Day Park Planning Charette occurred in Georgetown County, SC. #WPi participated along with other allied professionals to craft 10 County Parks for Georgetown County, SC. Key team players included #WPi Mark L. Baker, ASLA, Partner-in-Charge, Kyle Theodore, ASLA, Principal and HGBD’s Richard Bailey, ASLA, Principal. The 300 acre, eight oak park site located just west of Georgetown will most likely be the first park constructed with a desired completion date of June 2012. This unprecedented project approach involves four of the top park & recreation planning firms from across the state. Following the charette each firm will advance detail designs for the parks within each district.
