Inside the Life of Bee's with WPi's own Beekeeper - David McAllister!

David McAllister is a project planner at WPi by day, but on his "free time" he is also a Busy Beekeeper to over 250,000 local bees on Hilton Head Island! Right now he has 6 hives with anywhere between 40,000 and 50,000 bees with 4 of his hives producing honey at this time. So far he has harvested 35lbs of honey and expects much more later on in the year! And yes, you are probably wondering how long he has been doing this....Only his 1st year! Pretty impressive! The Town of Hilton Head's Rowing & Sailing Center - Featured in HH Monthly!

 

The Town of Hilton Head's Rowing & Sailing Center according to the Hilton Head Monthly Article  is a  "Haven for Rowers & Sailors"!  WPi along with Lee & Parker Architects, Ward Edwards and ATM provided design, permitting and construction phase services. The project includes a fixed pier for fishing, a floating dock, picnic facilities, storage for rowing shells and sailboats, swings, a fire pit, restrooms and parking. The pier is handicapped-accessible and can be used for fishing and crabbing. The floating dock is used for launching non-motorized boats. #Creatinggreatplaces #WPi #Publicparks
